dumb_alex	4:06p	dreams Dreams For the readers out there, have you ever had a dream taht you wish would stop, or go away. Well I have, I've actually have had several, and they always are around one point, and it scares me half to death. A few times lately, I've had a dream that involved Henry dying, and I'm trapped in the dream, because it feels so real. I can't seem to escape it, until one point, then I wake up, usually having my pillow soaked in my tears, and I can feel them on my face. I then roll over and see Henry, snoring away, and I know everything is ok. I then usually cuddle up with him, not letting go. Well this happened again last night, but I think it was also connected to an actual recent death amoungst one of my friends. See I was visiting my sister, and she had a police scanner on, and was listening in, and we heard of a Red Tahoe, that crashed on the Moscow Pullman Highway, and the driver was dead. Well there are a couple of red tahoe's so I was hoping it wasn't Henry. I texted, and waited, but he didn't return it, so I called. Same thing. Well finally I get in my car, crying the whole time, until I arrive on the scene, and it was his car. That's when I knew I was trapped, cuz it was just a whirlwind of images, that I can't even remember now, but I woke up yet again, tears and all. I'm even tearing up as I type this. Why is it that dreams have such a profound impact on us, and why are they so powerful that they're hard to escape. As if you're mind is trapping you inside, like something out of the cell. They say that dream are usually sending a message to us, and that we have to interprate it, but I don't know how to do that with this dream. I don't want Henry to die, I don't wantour relationship to die, so then what else? I don't know how much more you can interprate death. It's just odd to have these dreams, though they're all different, they all end up the same. Well I just wanted to put that out there, just needed to say it somewhere. news [ theljstaff ]	4:59p	Basic Accounts, India, and LiveJournal Inc. Development Goals and Basic Accounts Last week we updated our development goals for 2008. Generally we noted a number of cool enhancements and investments to LiveJournal that we are working on, including improved search, usability, and site development. We also wanted to let you know how we hope to accomplish all these things, and how we plan on paying for them. In order to accomplish our stated goals for this year and beyond, we need to increase the revenue gained from both groups of LiveJournal accounts: paid subscription accounts and ad-supported accounts. As of August 28th, all users will be able to choose to downgrade their account to Basic through their Manage Account page. Additionally, we will start showing advertising to visitors who are not logged in to LiveJournal when they are looking at Basic Account journals and communities. Basic Account users themselves will not see ads on any Basic journal or community while they are logged in to their account. Indian Flash Fiction Contest In other news, we are excited to tell you we've launched "Quick Tales" LiveJournal's first initiative for users in India, in celebration of India Independence day, August 15th. "Quick Tales" is a flash fiction writing contest in which we're partnering with Caferati.com, one of India's largest online literary communites. The contest's winners will receive some great prizes and it is open to anyone with a mailing address in India. We hope that users with an interest in Indian writing or just India will watch LiveJournal's india_writing community. That's where the finalists and winners will be announced, so keep an eye on it towards the end of September! If you're in India then enter the contest - if your story is slick and quick (under 500 words) then you could be the lucky winner! Meanwhile, back at LiveJournal Inc. We have updated and redesigned our corporate site. The goal of the redesign was twofold: first, to update the look and feel (Dystopia users will appreciate it!); second, we want to provide a destination for prospective employees, partners, and members of the press where they can access important information about the company.
